Message"Don't strain yourself this holiday season!"

"Strain Kringle" is a Kringle featuring Cuddles, Toothy, and Lumpy. This is the first Kringle to be released after the TV series (thus the updated art style) and in widescreen format, which was introduced in "Wrath of Con". This is also the first Kringle that forwent the electronic greeting card format used on the previous Kringles and thus was released purely in video format instead of Flash.

The Happy Tree Friends Arcade web game based on this Kringle, Aim to Freeze, was released more than two weeks later.

This Kringle precedes "Chill Kringle".

This Kringle is included in the 1000th Upload: Happy Tree Friends Holiday Marathon by MondoMedia to celebrate the 1,000th Happy Tree Friends-related upload on YouTube.

Synopsis[edit]

Happy Tree Friends website and YouTube: Spread some holiday cheer to someone you love this season by throwing an HTF Kringle their way! It’s less messy than a snowball… ok, maybe, not.[1][2]

Plot[edit]

Cuddles is looking through his telescope on a tree while Toothy is making a snowball behind a snow fort. Cuddles soon finds their target, Lumpy, and asks Toothy to throw the snowball. Lumpy gets annoyed by this and throws a nearby rock in return. Toothy quickly picks up a spaghetti strainer to protect his head from the rock. It bounces off only to hit Cuddles' telescope, impaling it through the rabbit's eye. Cuddles falls off the tree branch right on top of Toothy, who ends up mutilated from being forced through the holes of the strainer.

Fates[edit]

Deaths[edit]

  • Cuddles is impaled through the eye by his telescope.
  • Toothy's body is forced through the holes of the spaghetti strainer he was wearing on his head.

Survival rate[edit]

  • Number of surviving main characters: 1
  • Number of dead main characters: 2
  • Total rate: 33.33%

Trivia[edit]

  • No traditional Christmas song is played throughout "Strain Kringle", instead it utilizes the Happy Tree Friends show's own soundtrack. The only other Kringle to share this distinction is "Chill Kringle".
  • "Strain Kringle" is the first Kringle to use the new Kringles intro screen.
