"Star Kringle" is a Kringle featuring Giggles, Cuddles, and Toothy. This Kringle, along with "Sight Kringle", re-uses animation from Happy Tree Friends - Winter Break. In this case, it uses the opening sequence, albeit modified by having Cuddles trying to put the Christmas star instead of an ornament (thus the tree is missing the Winter Break logo) and adding an extra scene showing the dropped item landing on Toothy. Fittingly, this Kringle is the opening short for the 1000th Upload: Happy Tree Friends Holiday Marathon video published on MondoMedia's YouTube channel. This short is set to a slower-paced and lower tone version of "Joy to the World".

This Kringle is preceded by "Sight Kringle". To date, this is the last Kringle published.

Plot[edit]

Giggles, Cuddles, and Toothy are decorating the Christmas tree. Cuddles is about to put the star on top only to accidentally drop it, causing it to land on Toothy's head, thus killing him.

Fates[edit]

Deaths[edit]

  • Toothy's head is impaled by the dropped Christmas star.

Survival rate[edit]

  • Number of surviving main characters: 2
  • Number of dead main characters: 1
  • Total rate: 66.67%

Animation errors[edit]

  • The sound effect for the dropped tree decoration does not appear to be taken into account when the original clip from Winter Break was altered from having Cuddles hold an ornament to having him hold a Christmas star. As a result, a shattering sound more fitting for a broken ornament is heard despite the dropped star not breaking apart.
  • The scene after Cuddles accidentally dropping the star depicts Toothy with normal buckteeth instead of his large gapped ones.

Trivia[edit]

  • The added scene showing the star impaled on Toothy's head has Toothy himself drawn and animated in the style of the TV series and later web episodes, in contrast to the older style (but not as crude as the web series' Season 1) used in the rest of the Kringle, which is more typical of later Season 2 web episodes and Happy Tree Friends Break.
  • The Christmas star Cuddles was holding is the smaller version of the one used as the Happy Tree Friends - Winter Break logo.
