Lumpypedia:Canonicity

A canon of a franchise is a rule that determines the events of it. A canon work in a franchise is one that happens in its universe, and any non-canon works are ones that either don't have any continuity or don't happen in the main story of the franchise. Unlike other franchises and series, Happy Tree Friends lacks any canon or continuity. Therefore, any arguments about what is or what isn't are entirely unimportant and shouldn't be significant in a subject's article. As Happy Tree Friends has characters die and come back to life as if nothing happened, inconsistency with locations, or even a character's mental disability, the franchise itself has no proven canon. Rather than focusing on it, Lumpypedia focuses on any piece of official Happy Tree Friends material, whether it be video games, merchandise, spin-offs, or even a crossover (though the latter has yet to happen).

That said, there can be exceptions if something in Happy Tree Friends does have continuity. If a plot has a discrepancy that contradicts an earlier or later scene in the story, it can be mentioned and be considered a continuity error. Likewise, noting any difference between plots is fine as long as one doesn't call it a "continuity error". For instance, Cuddles in the television episode "In a Jam" has a scene where there are flashing colors, and Cuddles is not at all having an epileptic seizure while Handy has it. Cuddles not having a stroke contradicts a later episode, "Seize The Day" where Cuddles has epileptic seizures. As such, it's okay to mention the discrepancy, but it should not note it as being a "continuity error". Discrepancies also lean towards the setting and homes of the characters.
