''This Game Is All Flocked Up'' is played with a mouse. The player moves around a nest representing their cursor around the play area. Baby chicks fall from the tree and will only land safely if the player softens their fall by having them land on the nest shortly before hitting the ground. A rescued baby chick is worth 10 points. Saving enough baby chicks will allow the player to level up, increasing overall difficulty by adding more fallen chicks and increasing the bees' frequency.

Aside from baby chicks, the player will also encounter various apples also falling from the tree. Catching an apple with the nest will give the player either an advantage or a disadvantage depending on the type of apple. Bees can also be found either flying around or coming from the sides, serving as obstacles for the player's nest.

If the player lets a baby chick fall hard on the ground or has their nest hit an obstacle, a life will be lost. If all three lives were lost, the game is over.
