Oh Xmas Tree
"Oh Xmas Tree" is a YouTube-exclusive miscellaneous Happy Tree Friends short released on December 24, 2011. Like the Happy Tree Friends Break shorts "Deck the Halls" and "We Wish You", this short revolves around Toothy, Lumpy, Giggles, and Cuddles going caroling together without any incident. But unlike those shorts, this one is presented in widescreen format and its ending functions as a navigation menu featuring a selection of five Kringles, which are "Reindeer Kringle", "Tree Kringle", "Ski Kringle", "Strain Kringle", and "Train Kringle". However, since January 15, 2019[1], the menu is rendered nonfunctional due to YouTube dropping support for annotations, which made the interactive menu possible to begin with.
Plot[edit]
The door opens to show the caroling Toothy, Lumpy, Giggles, and Cuddles, who sing "Oh, Christmas Tree". After the song finishes, the door closes to reveal the text "Happy Holidays! from" above the wreath with the Happy Tree Friends logo. Five present boxes, each representing a Kringle, then fall to the floor.
Survival rate[edit]
- Number of surviving main characters: 4
- Number of dead main characters: 0
- Total rate: 100%
Animation errors[edit]
- Toothy is depicted with normal buckteeth instead of his large gapped ones.
Trivia[edit]
- "Oh Xmas Tree" is one of the Happy Tree Friends shorts without blood and gore whatsoever.
- "Strain Kringle" is the only non-2002 Kringle featured in the ending menu.
